A new case of attempted rape in Argyroupoli causes shock, as a young man attacked a 59-year-old woman outside her home. According to the woman’s complaint, the incident occurred on Kyprou Avenue, in front of her residence. The perpetrator approached her suddenly, tore her blouse, threw her to the ground and attempted to rape her, pulling down his pants.

However, the woman, despite her fear, managed to resist, screaming and fighting with the unknown man, who fled in an unknown direction. The 59-year-old was transferred to the Department for the Prosecution of Crimes against Freedom and Human Dignity (TDEE), where she gave a detailed statement about the terrifying moments she experienced.
Police authorities have launched a manhunt to locate and arrest the perpetrator, who is described as young, possibly 20-25 years old. It should be noted that the incident has caused intense concern among residents of the Argyroupoli area.
