A man who was arrested by law enforcement authorities in Heraklion had hidden drugs in his car engine. According to information from cretapost, everything began when police received intelligence about the activities of a 51-year-old Albanian man who was traveling from Athens to Heraklion to supply quantities of narcotics to dealers.
How the operation in Heraklion and the arrest of the 51-year-old for drugs unfolded
This morning, a coordinated operation was organized during which they located the 51-year-old at the port of Heraklion driving a passenger car. Police officers immobilized him and conducted a search of both the individual and the vehicle. During the investigation, authorities found carefully hidden in the car engine 1 kilogram and 300 grams of heroin in rock form and 286 grams of cocaine. They also found 140 euros in cash and a mobile phone. It’s worth noting that the vehicle was confiscated as a means of drug trafficking, while the preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Narcotics Division of the Sub-Directorate for Crime Investigation and Detection of Heraklion.
