Shocking new revelations have emerged surrounding the death of a baby, just 2.5 months old, in Apokoronas, Crete. According to latest information, authorities are examining the possibility that the baby’s parents – a couple from Finland – may be responsible for the tragic incident.

Specifically, the couple had attended a wedding on Saturday evening and having likely consumed alcohol, went to sleep with the baby placed between them. They allegedly accidentally crushed the infant, causing suffocation.
Crete: Forensic examination revealed “asphyxiation death”
Authorities were immediately notified and emergency services rushed to the scene, taking the infant to Chania Hospital. Unfortunately, doctors there confirmed that the baby was already dead.
It should be noted that the forensic examination determined “death by asphyxiation,” however, no criminal activity was established. The parents were brought before the prosecutor and released on Sunday morning, while criminal charges have been filed against them.
