Shocking new revelations are coming to light regarding the actions of the cardiac surgeon involved in the “envelope” bribery scandal who served as director at Hippokration Hospital. Disturbing are the moments described by a woman who suffered sexual harassment from the doctor while waiting for her mother to come out of surgery. “He wasn’t just asking for bribes,” the woman says, revealing how the accused had put her in a very uncomfortable position. It should be noted that the doctor was arrested following a patient’s complaint about bribery, while his trial was postponed until September 22.

Specifically, the difficult moments she experienced at Hippokration Hospital were revealed to Mega by a 35-year-old woman whose mother had been operated on by the hospital director. “We went to his office at Hippokration Hospital, we talked. He was looking for some excuse to communicate by phone. He told us about his amazing skills, calling his hands ‘God’s hands’. And that he is very successful and we shouldn’t be afraid. He showed particular interest in me,” said the 35-year-old complainant and patient’s daughter. She then alleged that immediately after her mother’s surgery, the cardiac surgeon asked her for the amount of 3,000 euros. However, as it appears, that wasn’t the only thing he asked for. “He still had my mother’s blood on him and asks me to go to his office to be briefed. So while he was explaining about the surgery, I started to realize that… I’m in a difficult position now, he was looking at my chest. He was talking to me and looking at my chest. And then he told me, that’s what I had to tell you, I’m thinking about other things. I said, tell me doctor, what are you thinking? I’m thinking, I don’t know how to tell you. I said tell me doctor, what’s happening? He tells me look: for these cases I take about three thousand. I said alright, I’ll arrange it. And beyond that he tells me, I – he tells me – I’m thinking about you,” the 35-year-old revealed.
“He locked me in the ICU room and hugged me”
Continuing her complaint with a trembling voice, the 35-year-old recounted how the cardiac surgeon crossed boundaries when they entered the intensive care room to see her operated mother. “He tells me come, I’ll mediate so you can see her. I didn’t even sit for three minutes and had to leave. To leave, they had to enter a code at the door. I’m waiting for him to enter the code and he wasn’t entering the code. He had me in his arms, he had put his hand on my shoulder and was squeezing my shoulder and I tell him: doctor I need to get some air because I’m not feeling very well and at that moment he entered the code and I left,” she stated. It should be noted that unfortunately, the 35-year-old’s mother died one day after her heart surgery. “At 10 o’clock my mother ‘left’ this life. Since then, of course, naturally I had no news from him. I want no daughter, sister, wife to ever be in the position I found myself in, to be treated like a piece of meat,” the 35-year-old emphasized. It is noted that according to Mega, the doctor’s lawyer declined to comment on the new allegation concerning sexual harassment, pending the trial that will take place tomorrow.
