An elderly woman experienced moments of terror in Piraeus, when she was brutally attacked by unknown assailants inside the driving school she operates. Specifically, around 09:00 on Friday morning (19/09) the perpetrators entered the driving school wearing helmets and attacked the 81-year-old woman. It’s worth noting that the elderly woman will undergo surgery at Tzaneio Hospital due to the injuries she sustained from the beating. Speaking to Live News, the victim’s daughter said:
“My mother goes every morning and opens the office quite early. It happened that today I was delayed in going there myself. My phone rings around 09:00 and she tells me ‘run, they’re killing me’. And I left as I was, went and found her covered in blood. Suddenly, she says, two motorcycles with hooded riders stormed in, they didn’t say anything to her, but as soon as they entered, she was startled and shouted ‘leave, help’, and they beat her. I believe they wanted to take her wallet.”
