The trial of Giannis Malamas has been postponed to September 18 following his testimony regarding the incident with a taxi driver and police officers. The 20-year-old son of singer Sokrates Malamas remained free after his testimony and will stay so until the trial.

According to police, at 05:25 an incident occurred between a taxi driver and two individuals, who hit the car door and verbally abused the driver. During the inspection, one of the two reacted and insulted the police officers. At the moment of his arrest, the musician reportedly resisted. While entering the police vehicle, he struck a police officer twice with his head, injuring him in the left cheekbone and head.
At the Acropolis Police Station, where he was taken for case file formation, the arrested individual continued to curse and threaten the police officers. Charges were filed against him for violence against public officials, insult, threat, and simple bodily harm. According to reports, the police officer is hospitalized with minor injuries at the 401 hospital.
