Increased concentrations of African dust are being observed these days by citizens across the country since Friday morning, according to the National Observatory of Athens. “Atmospheric circulation favors the transport of African dust toward our country. The concentrations are not very large, but they become visible as a veil, giving hazy colors to the atmosphere. Most of the dust will continue for the next two days, but it will recede from the beginning of next week,” notes Kostas Lagouvardos, meteorologist and research director at the National Observatory of Athens.
