A shocking video document captures the moment a 59-year-old man arms himself and shoots at a sanitation worker in the Athens area. The footage shows the perpetrator following the garbage truck while workers were performing their duties and, at some point, pulling out a weapon and targeting them. As announced by Greek Police, the man approached the garbage truck during waste collection and opened fire against the employee, fortunately without injuring him, and immediately fled on a motorcycle.

It should be noted that on Tuesday, August 9, officers from the Crime Investigation Department identified and located the 59-year-old at a point near the area where the attack occurred and arrested him. The 59-year-old faces charges for attempted murder and violation of weapons laws.
Furthermore, during a search of his home, the following items were found and confiscated:
- revolver with 4 cartridges,
- pistol,
- 3 knives,
- 2 knuckledusters,
- 14 cartridges and
- 2 balaclavas (full face).
The arrested individual was brought before the competent prosecutor.
