On Thursday, September 11, the first bell of the school year will ring for all students, who will begin entering the daily routine of winter, leaving behind the carefree days of summer.
Regarding kindergarten schedules, at the beginning of the first trimester and for a period not exceeding two weeks, flexible attendance hours may be applied for certain children attending for the first time, so they can adapt.
After this period, they follow the regular schedule from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
However, if parents choose for their children to attend the all-day program, then departure from school will be later.
The schedule for all-day elementary schools
Specifically, on September 12, classes will begin normally in Kindergartens and Elementary Schools and the all-day program will also begin operation.
For the 2025-26 school year, the departure of Elementary School students attending the upgraded All-Day Elementary School program is scheduled as follows:
- At 2:55 PM, with the end of the 1st teaching hour of the 2nd zone.
- At 3:50 PM, with the end of the 2nd teaching hour of the 2nd zone.
- At 5:30 PM, with the end of the program.
The All-Day Kindergarten schedule
The Unified Type of All-Day Kindergarten includes:
- the Basic Mandatory Program, which addresses all students (pre-kindergarten/kindergarten), covers all sections and lasts from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM,
- the Optional All-Day Program that lasts from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and
- the New, Upgraded All-Day Program that is implemented from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Within the framework of the Optional and New, Upgraded All-Day Program there is the possibility of operating an Early Reception section from 7:45 AM to 8:30 AM.
In the New, Upgraded All-Day Kindergarten Program, two teaching hours are added to the teaching time of the current All-Day Program, specifically the fifth and sixth, each lasting thirty minutes.
The 5th teaching hour includes rest/free play/activities in learning centers, while the 6th teaching hour may be utilized, following a decision by the Teaching Staff, by the educator for free and organized play and feedback.
Early Student Reception (7:45-8:30 AM) constitutes a teaching hour for the educator and is assigned to one of the morning program educators. Student reception lasts 15 minutes and takes place from 7:45 to 8:00 AM for the Early Reception section and from 8:15 to 8:30 AM for the Basic Mandatory Program.
Preparation for student departure
- from the Basic Mandatory Program takes place from 12:45 to 1:00 PM with departure time at 1:00 PM
- from the Optional All-Day Program from 3:45 to 4:00 PM with departure time at 4:00 PM and
- from the New, Upgraded All-Day Program for the 1st departure from 3:45 to 4:00 PM with departure time at 4:00 PM and for the 2nd departure from 5:15 to 5:30 PM with departure time at 5:30 PM at the end of the program.
