The wildfire is raging in a forested area in Choristi, Drama, where 71 firefighters, 4 ground crews from the 7th EMODE and 16 vehicles are operating to extinguish it. With sunrise, aerial units also joined the battle, specifically 8 aircraft and 1 helicopter. Water trucks from local authorities and construction machinery are also assisting in the firefighting effort.
