Two major French media outlets recently published glowing features on two Greek islands.
Le Figaro Magazine dedicated nine pages to Folegandros, under the title “The enchanted rock of the Cyclades“, presenting the island as an authentic, serene and alternative destination, far from mass tourism. Travel writer Sarah Chevalley and photographer Stanislas Fautré captured “the rugged beauty of the island that captivates travelers seeking light and tranquility”.
The feature covers the history, gastronomy, cultural heritage, as well as activities such as hiking, diving and cruises to beaches inaccessible by road. The goal of the press trip, carried out with support from the Municipality of Folegandros and Deputy Mayor of Tourism Tilla Bali, was to promote the island to French audiences as a destination for luxury yet sustainable vacations.
At the same time, Le Parisien Weekend presented Kefalonia through a four-page feature by Dominique Savidan. The newspaper characterizes the Ionian island as “free from mass tourism” and praises its breathtaking beaches, the national park in the mountains and friendly tavernas.
The feature also functions as a travel guide, with suggestions for culture, gastronomy, art, wellness and the island’s best beaches, showcasing Kefalonia as a destination that combines nature, tradition and “art de vivre”.
