The 45-year-old Porsche driver who caused a traffic accident in Thermi, Thessaloniki, has apologized to the two young people she injured in the crash after being released from custody today. Speaking to MEGA and Live News, she denied speeding above the limit or being intoxicated and stated that she remains in shock from the accident. She also emphasized that her “name has been greatly tarnished” and that she finds herself “in a very difficult position.”
“I was and still am in shock, I was in custody for four days. I am very happy that the children and I are alive. I didn’t see the vehicle. I sincerely apologize to the two children. It’s not true that I was drunk, nor was I speeding. All I want is to go home,” the 45-year-old said characteristically.
She also noted: “I want to say above all that I am happy that all three of us are alive. I learn daily from my lawyers about the children, that they are well. I couldn’t bear the burden of two people suffering something. We’re talking about an accident, not something that was caused intentionally. I humbly apologize.
All the things that have been said about me don’t represent me. My name has been greatly tarnished, I am a mother, my position is very difficult. I don’t remember what happened at the moment of the accident, I was in complete shock. I am tired, I was locked up for four days. I haven’t eaten anything, I haven’t slept, I am upset.”
