A 46-year-old motorcycle driver responsible for the fatal traffic accident on Akti Dymaion appeared before the Patras investigator today (02.09.2025). The deadly crash occurred on Friday evening.
The defendant, who had been given one day to prepare his defense, was ordered to be held in pre-trial detention by unanimous decision of the prosecutor and investigator. According to tempo24news, when asked if he felt remorse, he did not respond, keeping his head down.
The accident claimed the life of 86-year-old Afroditi (Titika) Vasilopoulou, who was struck while accompanying a 7-year-old girl. The child was injured but her life is not in danger.
