A serious car accident occurred Thursday afternoon (28/8) on Akrotiriou Street in Chania, when a vehicle veered off course, overturned and became wedged between the road and a tree. According to zarpanews.gr, the driver of the vehicle managed to exit the car with the help of passersby.

It should be noted that the Fire Department arrived at the scene preventively and also to remove the battery terminals to prevent a fire. The car driver sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Chania Hospital.
