Messages of optimism were sent today (27/08) by Aris Mougopoulos, following the serious health ordeal he faces due to his hand injury, when a firecracker explosion amputated two of his fingers and caused problems with his eye. “I’m doing much better, yesterday I underwent another surgery that went well, a huge thank you to my doctor, who is exceptional. I put my hands in his hands, the best hands,” the musician told MEGA. His love for the clarinet remains alive and he reiterated that “I feel confident that I will be able to play clarinet again, I’m more ready than ever.”
“The eye problem was more difficult than I thought, I had two surgeries but it hasn’t fully recovered. When the incident happened, fortunately they told me ‘we need to look at your eye, don’t lose it and need to get a glass one.’ I thank everyone who helped me in those critical moments,” added Aris Mougopoulos.

I also want to say a big ‘thank you’ to you for the wonderful wishes, for all these beautiful words and the great love you show me from the first moment until now.
Truly, you give me great strength and I want to tell you from my heart, may God return all this love to you –from my soul– double, triple and as much as possible. May you all be well,” he emphasized.
