The friend of 25-year-old Yago, the Brazilian tourist who was found dead in a private pool of a suite in Mykonos, has not been informed of his death, according to a statement from the family of 23-year-old Ryan. The two friends were together in the pool when a hotel employee discovered them.
“I work in the cleaning department at the hotel, I was in a second-floor room when I noticed something strange, lots of water falling onto the balcony. The water was falling from the pool above, from the third-floor room. I immediately notified reception” he describes to Live News.
How hotel employees found the two Brazilians in Mykonos
When the hotel reception was notified that water was running onto the second-floor room balcony from the third-floor pool, they immediately called the room where the Brazilians were staying, but no one answered. Three employees then decided to go to the third-floor room and open it to see where the leak was coming from. It was a huge shock how they found the Brazilians.
The two friends who, according to information, are building careers on social networks with one reportedly popular in the adult entertainment industry, were unconscious. Both were in the pool, and an employee pulled them out.
The desperate attempt to keep them alive
A hotel employee immediately began an improvised rescue operation, diving into the pool fully clothed and pulling the young men out. The 23-year-old had a pulse, but the 25-year-old was completely unconscious.
While the hotel employee attempted to give first aid, other staff members called emergency services. The tragic conclusion was the confirmation that the 25-year-old Brazilian was dead. It appears both had used substances earlier.
“From the autopsy conducted at the scene, a used plastic syringe was found on the room balcony, as well as four packets containing white powder of unknown composition (possibly narcotics) on a table inside the room, which were confiscated by the Mykonos Security Service,” reports newsit.
The two Brazilians were inseparable and Greece was often the focus of their vacations. In photos, they frequently pose together, including in this last photo before the tragedy. Authorities are now searching to find what else may have happened before the two men ended up in the pool with tragic results.

“Ryan’s condition has stabilized and he is out of danger. He has regained consciousness and is responsive to his environment. However, he has not yet been informed of Yago’s death. We are in direct contact with the Embassy and closely monitoring all developments.
