A massive manhunt to locate and arrest the man who murdered his 36-year-old wife in cold blood at the entrance of their apartment building has been launched by Volos Police.

According to initial reports, the fatal attack occurred in front of the family’s eldest daughter. The couple had an argument at the entrance of the apartment building located on Konstanta Street in Volos.
Their daughter, who is the eldest of the family’s four children, was standing nearby. However, she couldn’t prevent the murder and was the one who screamed for help, seeing her mother, 36-year-old Mariola N., dying next to the broken glass at the building entrance.
The perpetrator quickly fled the scene and dozens of police officers have set up roadblocks at various points throughout the city in an effort to locate and arrest him.
The couple is of Albanian origin and has lived in Greece for years. They were facing various problems and arguments were frequent, according to initial testimonies from friends and relatives.
The minor who witnessed her mother’s death is in a state of shock, as are the other three children in the family. The victim will be transferred to the forensic service for examination to determine the exact cause of death.
