A 46-year-old woman who terrorized Thessaloniki on the Assumption of Mary holiday when she attacked a 38-year-old man with chlorine has been released under restrictive conditions. The incident occurred when the man was having fun with friends and making noise, which, according to authorities, led the accused to commit an extreme act. The 46-year-old allegedly obtained the chlorine from a 44-year-old acquaintance before throwing it in the victim’s face, injuring him and shocking the neighborhood.

According to information, the 46-year-old was banned from leaving the country, must report to the police station, and is prohibited from approaching the victim within 50 meters. The 44-year-old second defendant was released without conditions.
The 46-year-old claimed that the victim was spreading rumors about having sexual relations with her and that she thought the liquid she threw at him was dish detergent. The 44-year-old says she has nothing to do with the incident and that she did not give the chlorine to her friend.

According to a voria.gr report, the 46-year-old threw caustic liquid (chlorine), which she had obtained from the 44-year-old, at the face of a 38-year-old who was drinking beers with his friends and causing noise in the neighborhood. The incident occurred in the early hours of August 15. The 38-year-old was preventively transported by ambulance to a city hospital. The arrested women will be brought before the competent prosecutor with the case file formed against them.
