Criminal charges for premeditated homicide in a calm mental state were filed against the 28-year-old defendant for the murder of a 47-year-old woman yesterday Monday (17/8) in Chalandri. He was also charged with misdemeanor charges for illegal weapon possession and use. The defendant was referred to the examining magistrate from whom he is expected to request time to prepare his defense.
It should be noted that shortly before 11 AM, the 28-year-old perpetrator was taken to the courts of the former Evelpidon School for the murder of the 47-year-old woman. The perpetrator was cynical, confessing to police that he killed the victim because she had “slandered him to everyone” and was “driving him crazy.”
Chalandri murder: 28-year-old charged with premeditated homicide
Indeed, on Tuesday morning (18/8) the perpetrator of the murder of the 47-year-old woman in Chalandri was taken to the courts of the former Evelpidon School. According to reports, the perpetrator stated: “For six months I couldn’t sleep at nights. She had slandered me to all our acquaintances, even to the priest at the soup kitchen,” said the perpetrator after his arrest. He claimed he hadn’t spoken to the 47-year-old woman for about six months: “I hadn’t spoken to her for about six months. I wasn’t talking to her.” “I was going crazy because no one would talk to me. So I went today to kill her,” said the 28-year-old.
Femicide in Chalandri: “Help, he’s holding a knife, he’ll kill me” – 28-year-old shows no remorse
According to reports, the 28-year-old man appears to have been obsessed with the 47-year-old woman, leading to her death after repeated stabbings with the knife he brought to her body. The 28-year-old had become her “shadow” in recent months, forcing the 47-year-old woman – just last March – to report his behavior to police, who proceeded with warnings, as stated in an announcement by the Hellenic Police.
However, the same man, almost five months later, murdered the unfortunate woman with multiple stabbings at the entrance of the apartment building where she lived on Strategou Roubesi Street. “Help, he’s holding a knife, he’ll kill me,” was heard from the terrified woman’s mouth as she tried to escape from the 28-year-old who ultimately carried out what he had predetermined. “She was putting words in my friends’ mouths. Everyone had turned away from me. She dragged me through the mud for no reason. I had to punish her,” he reportedly claimed to the DIAS team officers who arrived first at the scene and immobilized him, threatening him with their service weapons, as he held the bloody knife in his hand.
