The wildfire continues to rage in western Greece with firefighters battling the flames for a second day in a titanic effort to contain the blaze. Aerial units are also engaged in the battle to limit the fire’s spread. According to video footage from Forecast Weather, a spectacular moment shows a Canadair aircraft operating on the fire fronts, flying near the Rio-Antirrio bridge to refuel with water.

It should be noted that the firefighting mobilization is massive, with a total of 222 firefighters deployed with 71 vehicles, 8 ground teams, 7 aircraft and 5 helicopters battling the flames.
