Photographs of the ferry hull breaches at Nea Styra were presented on ANT1’s main news bulletin. It should be noted that today (7/8) the removal of the ship from the shore, where it had run aground, began. The removal and towing operation was completed on Thursday evening.

According to ANT1, as determined, the force with which the ship hit the shore and the fact that it “settled” on the rock was fortunate, as water ingress did not continue and the vessel remained stable for so many days, despite the fact that the hull fractures are in single compartments.
It should also be emphasized that according to the marine surveyor monitoring the ship, there does not appear to be damage to the rudders as claimed by the captain, who will provide explanations to the justice system tomorrow.
