With a personal message, Deputy Health Minister Eirini Agapidaki calls on citizens to prioritize prevention. Starting in September, new SMS notifications will be sent for free health screenings, reminding everyone that healthcare is the first step in life.
“Whatever we do this summer, let’s not forget about ourselves,” Minister Agapidaki characteristically states, emphasizing that participation in preventive screenings is a simple but essential act of self-care. “A gift worth giving importance to,” she notes.
She encourages citizens, upon returning from their holidays, to give themselves this “gift.” “In September, we’ll be here with new SMS messages for every eligible citizen,” the message concludes.
At a time when prevention has proven to be a valuable tool for public health and improving quality of life, this reminder takes on particular significance. After all, as the Ministry of Health has repeatedly emphasized, early diagnosis saves lives – and preventive screenings are the first and most critical step in that direction.
