An alarm was raised in the early morning hours of Wednesday (6/8) for a wildfire that broke out in a forest area in Palaiomanina Xeromero in Aetolia-Acarnania.

Wildfire now in Aetolia-Acarnania – Ground and aerial units deployed
In the area where the fire broke out in the early morning hours of Wednesday, 35 firefighters are operating with 2 ground teams from the 6th Special Disaster Response Unit (EMODE), 11 vehicles, 2 aircraft and 1 helicopter, while water trucks and heavy machinery from local authorities are assisting in the firefighting efforts.
