The 30-year-old former police officer from the Rapid Response Unit had been under surveillance by the Internal Affairs Service since November 2024. He was arrested yesterday (04/08) by the “incorruptible” officers for drug trafficking, while criminal charges were filed against him today for one felony and three misdemeanors. It’s worth noting that the same charges apply to a 21-year-old who was arrested at the former officer’s home, where he was being hosted and attempted to dispose of drugs in the toilet when he saw the police officers.
Former police officer and TikToker: Under surveillance since November 2024
It should be noted that over 150 grams of cocaine, anabolic pills and other evidence were found at the former officer’s home.
As announced by the Hellenic Police, the investigation began in November 2024, when the 30-year-old was still an active police officer (he later resigned from the Force), following complaints made via email. According to these complaints, the then-active officer was involved in drug trafficking and other illegal activities. The complaints were submitted to the supervising Athens Court of Appeals Prosecutor of the Internal Affairs Service, who ordered a preliminary investigation to examine potential criminal acts.
In this context, yesterday afternoon (August 4, 2025), after the former officer appeared at the Internal Affairs Service for another case, the procedure for conducting a home search was initiated in the presence of a judicial officer.
Upon arrival at his residence, the 21-year-old defendant, who was temporarily staying there, attempted to prevent the officers’ entry and moved toward the bathroom area, where he was found discarding a package from the window. When collected, the package was found to contain a quantity of white powder, possibly cocaine, weighing 153 grams.
Subsequently, from the search that followed in the residence, as well as in a vehicle owned by the former officer, and during a body search, the following items were found and confiscated:
• precision electronic scale,
• electric discharge device (taser),
• pistol magazine,
• 39 cartridges,
• 55 anabolic tablets,
• metal baseball bat,
• 2 improvised cigarettes with plant extracts possibly cannabis,
• the former officer’s official ID card which had been falsely reported as lost,
• certificate of loss of the aforementioned ID card.
