Parents of an 8-year-old from Thessaloniki described an ordeal regarding their child’s attendance at a private school, alleging that their child was the victim of systematic bullying.

“One time he came home with bruises on his hip, another time on his arm, he had been hit on the head. As a supposed joke, one child pulled down his pants and another pulled down his underwear – his private parts were exposed,” the mother told ERT.
The parents changed schools for their child and subsequently turned to the justice system, filing a lawsuit against all responsible parties.
The case file is now in the hands of the prosecutor who will decide whether to pursue criminal charges or not.
