“The Smile of the Child” announces through its statement that the publication of the photograph of a 14-year-old, which had been released to the public as part of the search for his parents or other relatives, is now being discontinued following prosecutorial order.

According to the organization, there was significant mobilization from citizens who were sensitized and contacted the European Hotline for Missing Children 116000, as well as the Police Authorities, providing important information for finding the minor’s identity.
It is recalled that the child had been spotted wandering unaccompanied at Zea Marina in Piraeus on Saturday evening (2/8) at 22:00. The child was discovered by citizens who immediately notified the competent authorities and “The Smile of the Child” organization. The minor’s photograph had been published following prosecutorial order today, as it was deemed necessary to verify his identity and locate his biological parents or other relatives.
