An 18-year-old driver was arrested and brought before the competent prosecutor, charged with dangerous driving on Attiki Odos. According to authorities, he committed a serious violation of the Traffic Code, endangering the safety of other drivers. The incident is being examined within the framework of stricter controls for road safety.

Attiki Odos: 18-year-old arrested for dangerous driving at 188 km/h
According to an announcement by the Hellenic Police, on Thursday evening (31/7) the Attica Traffic Police radar detected the vehicle driven by the young man traveling at a speed of 188 km/h on the Ymittos Ring Road, at a point where the maximum permitted speed limit is 80 km/h. The 18-year-old exceeded the limit by 108 km/h. Administrative sanctions were imposed against him and a case file was formed for dangerous driving by the 2nd Northeast Attica Traffic Department. Subsequently, he was brought before the competent prosecutor for further proceedings.
