Hundreds of citizens gathered on Sunday afternoon (27/09) at the Propylaea of the University of Athens to protest against the mandatory Personal Number and biometric digital IDs. The demonstrators then marched toward the Greek Parliament, carrying Christian and Byzantine symbols, Greek flags, and banners bearing protest slogans.

“No to the Personal Number,” “No to the numbering of human beings,” “No to digital surveillance,” and “No to the number of the beast” were among the slogans written on banners held by citizens outside the Greek Parliament, expressing their opposition to the collection of data in digital registries and rallying against the so-called “New World Order.”
Earlier, at a rally held at the Propylaea, speakers fired sharp criticism at both the government and the Church of Greece, which, as stated from the podium, “is yielding and failing to resist the mark.” Independent MP Nikos Papadopoulos — who had previously been involved in the incident involving the paintings at the National Gallery — was also present at the protest and addressed the crowd.
