The exodus of July vacationers continues, just a breath away from August, with ports filling up and ferries departing at 100% capacity as travelers leave in continuous waves, heading to the islands and coastal areas.
Piraeus Port: July vacationers exodus peaks – Ferries depart at full capacity
It’s worth noting that the enormous cost of ferry tickets seriously complicates vacation planning for many, forcing travelers –both Greeks and foreigners– to dig deep into their pockets for a few days of relaxation. However, traffic remains high at the country’s ports.
Among these is Piraeus port, where from early Thursday morning (31/7) ferry capacity reached 100% for the Cyclades, Dodecanese and Saronic Gulf islands.
The summer season has reached its peak and vacationers are eager to enjoy their holidays.
