A 47-year-old driver is fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit of Volos General Hospital after being involved in a serious car accident that occurred Thursday evening on the Larissa – Tyrnavos road near the Dendron community.

Serious head-on collision accident in Larissa
The accident occurred when two vehicles collided in a side-frontal crash. One vehicle, traveling from Tyrnavos towards Larissa, veered off course and overturned, trapping the seriously injured driver inside. The Fire Department was called to assist with the rescue operation.
The victim was subsequently transported by ambulance to the emergency hospital. However, due to lack of available ICU beds at Larissa hospitals, he was transferred to Volos General Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was discharged after receiving first aid treatment at the hospital.
