The payment of the second installment of the Special Consumption Tax (SCT) refund for agricultural diesel fuel for 2025 has been completed.
Specifically, the total refund amount paid to 82,392 professional farmers reaches €21,733,770.98 and covers:
- diesel fuel purchases,
- used exclusively in agriculture and
- for which sales invoices have been issued and transmitted to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue’s digital platforms myDATA and eSend from April 1 – June 30, 2025.
This amount represents the second of five total scheduled payments for the current year (Decision A.1173/2024 -B 6741 Joint Ministerial Decision of the Deputy Ministers of National Economy and Finance and the Minister of Rural Development and Food).
The new simplified payment procedure, both for this installment and future ones, is carried out automatically, requiring no action from eligible farmers.
It is also reminded that under the new procedure (E.2079/2024):
- holders of public fuel station operating licenses must fulfill their obligations regarding electronic data transmission within set deadlines to IAPR’s digital platforms myData and eSend, and
- farmers must request invoice issuance from public fuel stations to benefit from the SCT refund.
