A severe storm swept through western Fthiotida, with the Municipality of Makrakomi at the center of the intense weather events. Heavy rainfall, gale-force winds, and localized hailstorms battered the area, causing significant problems and extensive material damage. The most serious incident was recorded in Makrakomi, where powerful wind gusts tore off the roof of the Agricultural Cooperatives Union building. The metal structure could not withstand the force of the winds, broke free, and was hurled onto parked vehicles, which sustained extensive damage.
