Due to the heat wave and infrastructure strain, successive power outages have been recorded in recent hours across several areas of the Athens basin. DEDDIE crews are on high alert and rushing to areas where problems have been reported.
Earlier, large sections of the municipalities of Psychico, Filothei, and Chalandri remained without power for over an hour due to a local fault in the electrical system. Power outage problems were also recorded in the areas of Nikaia and Korydallos. In both cases, DEDDIE crews went to the sites, the problems have been identified and are being gradually restored.
Shortly after 3:30 PM however, power outages occurred due to a fault in the areas of Oropos, Avlonas and Malakasa, which are estimated to be restored around 6 PM. Around 4 PM outages were recorded in Kifissia, Lykovrysi and Nea Iraklio.
