The family and colleagues of one of the workers seriously injured in the explosion that occurred on July 9th in Aspropyrgos are urgently appealing for blood donations. The 28-year-old victim remains hospitalized in critical condition at the Athens General Hospital “G. Gennimatas.”
As a reminder, a total of eleven people were injured in the explosion and the fire that followed. A 54-year-old worker succumbed to his extensive burns a few days later, while two others remain on life support, fighting for their lives.
Industrial accident in Aspropyrgos: worker sustains burns to over 40% of his body
The 28-year-old worker, for whom the appeal is being made, is currently receiving treatment at the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit of “G. Gennimatas” Hospital, having sustained burns to more than 40% of his body.
The Energy Sector Workers’ Union is calling on its members, fellow workers, and any citizen who is able to help, to respond to the urgent need for blood donations.
