The fire risk prediction map issued by Civil Protection for tomorrow, Wednesday, is causing concern. With heatwave temperatures set to continue for the next 24 hours, the risk of fire outbreaks is very high in Elis, Messinia, the Ionian islands, and the regions of Achaia and Arcadia.
The risk will be high in several areas across both the islands and mainland.

At the same time, it should be noted that according to the updated emergency bulletin from the National Meteorological Service, on Tuesday (22-07-25) and Wednesday (23-07-25) maximum temperatures will reach:
a) in mainland Greece 39 to 41 degrees Celsius, locally in central Macedonia, eastern Central Greece and eastern Peloponnese up to 42 degrees, and in Thessaly up to 43 degrees Celsius. In Athens and Thessaloniki 39 to 40 degrees.
b) in the Eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese 37 to 39 degrees, and locally on Wednesday (23-07-25) 40 to 41 degrees Celsius.
c) in the Ionian islands on Wednesday (23-07-25) and in Crete 37 to 38 degrees Celsius.
