Agrinio: What the 50-year-old admitted during his statement
During the investigation, the 50-year-old reportedly admitted to having started three additional fires in the same area throughout June — specifically on the 6th, the 20th, and again on the 28th of the month. These confessions significantly strengthened the body of evidence already compiled by investigators.
The case was solved as a result of the systematic investigation into the series of arson incidents in the area carried out by the Aetolia-Acarnania Arson Crime Investigation Unit. The suspect has been formally charged with deliberate and repeated arson and is expected to be brought before the competent judicial authorities.
