A man accused by a female coworker of rape on the island of Skopelos has been released on a temporary basis with restrictive conditions, including a ban on leaving the country. The 19-year-old, who had traveled to the island for summer work, spoke to the “Apokalypseis” program about the incident. “We worked together, we had all gone out as a group, we were hanging out with some other people, and we were staying with another friend we were closer to. We were all together and we said, okay, let’s wait for the other person to come back — but they never showed up.”
“I felt dizzy and fell asleep. Then I woke up in the morning and… he claimed that I had vomited and that he had helped me, and had removed my clothes for that reason. However, I am certain that nothing of the sort happened, because the sheets were clean and there was no sign of vomiting whatsoever. I am one hundred percent certain that I went to sleep with my clothes on.”
