A 49-year-old Greek man in Rhodes desperately tried to avoid arrest after being caught with dozens of “fixes” – individual doses of cocaine. He crashed his vehicle into the patrol car of police officers who attempted to check him, while fiercely resisting and attacking the officers who tried to handcuff him.
The 57-year-old perpetrator was eventually subdued, and following searches, police found cocaine weighing a total of 44.8 grams, a knife with a 14-centimeter blade, a hammer, and 70 euros in his possession. Most of the cocaine was pre-packaged into individual doses, with 26.2 grams divided into 30 “fixes.”

Rhodes: 49-year-old acted like a “raging bull”
The investigation targeting the 49-year-old was not random, as police had received information about suspicious movements of a man in a vehicle. Officers were unaware they were dealing with a drug dealer, which is why they followed all prescribed self-protection measures. However, the 49-year-old acted like a “raging bull” – not only did he refuse to exit his vehicle when called by police, but he started the engine and accelerated, crashing into the patrol car.
Officers managed to open the doors, with the perpetrator attacking them frantically while attempting to escape, but without success. Criminal charges were filed against him for possession and distribution of narcotics, illegal weapon possession, and violence against public officials and judicial personnel. He was brought before the competent prosecutor in Rhodes, from whom he requested and received a deadline to provide his defense.
