A 13-year-old boy lost his life yesterday afternoon in the coastal area of Alykes Kitrous in Pieria. According to information from the Coast Guard, the minor suddenly felt unwell and lost consciousness while entering the sea. The 13-year-old initially received first aid from a doctor who was present at the scene, and was then transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Katerini, where his death was confirmed.
A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the 3rd Coast Guard Department of Skala Katerinis, under the Central Port Authority of Thessaloniki.
