A seismic tremor measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale was recorded on Friday afternoon (19/6) in the sea area south of Chania. According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake occurred at 16:18, with the focal depth estimated at 7.8 kilometers, classifying it as a relatively shallow tremor.
The epicenter was located approximately 61 kilometers southwest of Paleochora, Chania.
