Heavy charges have been filed against the three suspects arrested in the death case of Alexandros Daskalakis. Prosecution for premeditated murder jointly against the two main defendants and for moral instigation against the 57-year-old father, according to neakriti. Specifically, the 32-year-old and 59-year-old are prosecuted for joint murder, while the father is charged with moral complicity in the accomplished act of homicide. The developments mark a new phase in the case that has shocked Messara, which seeks answers about the circumstances that led to the death of the 49-year-old.
Alexandros Daskalakis case: Defendants deny involvement
It should be noted that shortly before 2:00 PM on Thursday (11/6), the three defendants passed through the door of the Heraklion Court Building to be brought before the prosecutor. At the same time, according to neakriti, relatives of both Alexandros Daskalakis and the defendants were outside the courts.
After the defendants arrived at the Court Building, Alexandros Daskalakis’s son-in-law stated that “today an important step was taken for the truth to shine.” For their part, the three defendants deny any involvement in the acts attributed to them.

The defendants allegedly set up an ambush for the unfortunate man and struck him in the head with hoes, causing his death. In fact, one of them is reportedly involved in the past in the Vangelis Giakoumakis case, a fact that adds a new dimension to the investigation. In it, Alexandros Daskalakis appears to be moving with his motorcycle towards the village café and then towards his fields. In another video, the former community leader appears to be returning to his home after the beating, where he eventually collapsed without being able to explain what had happened. The victim’s family rejected the possibility of an accident from the beginning and spoke of clear criminal activity. Witnesses for their part reported that in the past there were frictions over encroachments and differences regarding properties and livestock activities, elements that are being examined by the authorities as a possible background to the tragedy.
