Arrested by police authorities in Chania, Crete, a 42-year-old man following a complaint by his 35-year-old wife for rape and repeated incidents of domestic violence. According to zarpanews.gr, the woman reported that for several years she has been suffering physical and verbal abuse, as well as threats from her husband.
As she reportedly told authorities, his behavior began in 2016 and continued until today.

The 35-year-old claimed that in the early hours of June 7th, the 42-year-old engaged in sexual acts without her consent, while according to the complaint, he also caused bruises on her arms.
Following the complaint, a police operation took place during which the 42-year-old was arrested. During the search conducted at his home, officers located and confiscated six rifles, which he possessed legally. The case is being investigated by the competent authorities.
