A spectacular sight perfect for photography greeted residents of Skiathos on Thursday afternoon, June 4th, as a high-density storm front appeared to engulf the island. The hillsides merged with the clouds and wind intensity increased noticeably, causing municipal garbage bins to be swept away and left in the middle of the road. The strong winds even created a dangerous situation on the ring road, near the “Stelina” hotel. SkiathosVoice provided visual material that highlights the power and intensity of the storm. Despite the impressive appearance of the front and the strong winds that preceded it, the storm was not accompanied by particularly heavy rainfall in the area so far, but left behind unique images while reminding us how quickly weather conditions can change on the island during this season.
