A serious and violent incident occurred in Ilion, following a traffic accident that caused tension between two drivers. According to reports, the incident unfolded on Idomeneos Street, a main road in the area that residents describe as particularly dangerous. After a collision between a motorcycle and a bus that caused material damage to the motorcycle, the situation spiraled out of control. Exclusive video footage broadcast by MEGA captures frame by frame the brutal beating of the bus driver by the motorcycle rider, who appears to repeatedly attack him in the head.
Ilion: “I got down and he started throwing punches at me”, says the victim
The beating victim describes: “I got down at the stop to let passengers off and this man comes up and tells me ‘move, look what you did to me’. I said ‘friend, I didn’t do anything to you, I had 30 people inside’. I told him ‘you can ask anyone you want’ and he says ‘you knocked down my bike’. I said ‘I didn’t knock down anything’. I got down to have him show me the spot and he started throwing punches at me”.
Within minutes, a police patrol car arrived along with an ambulance which took the injured man to KAT hospital. The motorcycle driver was arrested.
In another incident on the same road in Ilion, a truck driver crosses into oncoming traffic at an intersection while holding a mobile phone to his ear. A car cuts across traffic to enter a store parking lot.
A motorcycle rider, visibly irritated, overtakes a car that cuts into the middle of the traffic flow. All of this was captured by MEGA’s camera in just half an hour, at the same location.
