According to MEGA’s report, beach lounger set prices at southern suburban beaches vary depending on the day:

The “golden” Greek salad at 29 euros
The high prices in tourist services extend to dining, with the characteristic example of Greek salad reaching €29 on several islands.
According to complaints, prices from €7 to €15 are now the norm, while cases of overpricing in tourist tavernas without corresponding quality are common.
The president of the Union of Working Consumers of Greece, Apostolos Raftopoulos, stated characteristically: “Free market doesn’t mean uncontrolled market,” calling for stricter controls and more conscious consumer choices.
As market experts point out, the phenomenon of “tourist overpricing” creates exclusion for the country’s own residents and damages the sustainability of domestic tourism.
