Nine minors were arrested by Immediate Action police officers – 7 of whom are Greek nationals and 2 foreign nationals – for three consecutive attempted robberies against minors in the Kifisia area. The arrested individuals are aged between 14 and 17 years old – a fact that raises concerns about the constantly increasing incidents of juvenile delinquency.

It should be noted that a case file was formed against them by the Kifisia Crime Investigation Department for charges of attempted robbery and bodily harm against vulnerable individuals in conspiracy.
Kifisia: The arrest timeline
Specifically, police officers on patrol on Sunday evening (13/7) received a signal from the Immediate Action Center about consecutive attempted robberies against minors in the Kifisia area. The officers rushed to the scene and after searches located the nine minors in a Kifisia square.
Subsequently, the minors were taken to the Kifisia Crime Investigation Department where a preliminary investigation followed, during which 3 consecutive attempted robberies against minors in the Kifisia area were solved.
Kifisia: The minors’ criminal activity
It is emphasized that on the same evening before the arrest, the nine perpetrators along with another group of minors who are still being sought, approached a 17-year-old and with the threat of violence attempted to steal his watch and fled.
Immediately after at a nearby location, they attacked a young man with punches to the head while they also moved threateningly toward a young woman, however the victims escaped by boarding a bus. Subsequently, a few minutes later, the 9 minors pushed a 15-year-old and one of them kicked him in the back.
The minors were taken to the competent prosecutor.
