An unimaginable tragedy occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Mycenae area, on the provincial road leading to Nafplio, when three people were killed after a violent collision between two vehicles. According to reports, the accident occurred when an SUV carrying three male tourists of Chinese origin collided head-on with a passing truck.
The force of the impact was so severe that the SUV’s engine was thrown a considerable distance from the collision site.
Fire department forces were immediately mobilized to free the passengers, while ambulances transported the unconscious victims to the nearest hospital, where their deaths were confirmed.
The exact causes of the accident are being investigated by the Argos Traffic Police, which has taken over the preliminary investigation.
