Meteorologist Theodoros Kolydas posted an update on weather developments for the coming days, describing a scenario with spring characteristics but also local instabilities. As he notes, the weather will maintain a mild character, however rainfall and showers will not be absent, mainly in areas of mainland Greece and the Ionian Sea. Specifically, on Thursday local rain is expected in the Ionian, northern mainland areas and the northeastern Aegean, while from midday hours showers or isolated thunderstorms will also develop in other mainland regions.
On Friday the instability will be limited mainly to the western and northern parts of the country, where local rain or showers will occur. On Saturday cloud cover will increase rapidly and local rain or showers will occur in the Ionian, mainland areas and the northern Aegean, while on Sunday phenomena will be more limited.

“INSTABILITY – A WEATHER ‘NORMALITY’ OF MAY
In the coming days the weather will maintain a spring-like but relatively unsettled character, mainly in mainland areas. Due to the passage of systems from the north, on Thursday local rain is expected in the Ionian, northern mainland areas and the northeastern Aegean, while from midday showers or isolated thunderstorms will develop in other mainland regions as well. Temperature will show further decline, mainly in mainland areas.
On Friday instability will be limited mainly to western and northern areas, with local rain or showers, while in the morning and evening visibility will be locally limited, especially in western areas. On Saturday cloud cover will increase rapidly and local rain or showers will occur in the Ionian, mainland areas and the northern Aegean.
On Sunday phenomena will be more limited, mainly in western and northern areas, while temperature will show a slight increase in southern areas.”
