The funeral of 2-year-old Alexandra took place on Saturday afternoon in an atmosphere of grief and sorrow at the Holy Church of Panagia Axion Esti in Lefka, Agrinio. The toddler met a tragic death under the wheels of a vehicle driven by her own father.

Relatives and friends with broken hearts attended the church to bid farewell to 2-year-old Alexandra and offer words of comfort to the grieving parents. The 29-year-old father who unintentionally took the life of his precious daughter was a tragic figure, along with his wife who is pregnant with their second child.
It was these two who rushed little Alexandra to Agrinio Hospital yesterday after the accident, but doctors could do nothing as it was already too late. No one could hold back tears when seeing the white coffin with the dead little girl.
The family’s wish is that instead of wreaths, money should be donated to the holy church. As is known, the church of Panagia Axion Esti in Lefka, Agrinio was built in memory of the victims of the quintuple murder in Kalyvia, Agrinio, in November 2006.

The incident reportedly occurred around 8:00 PM when the 29-year-old father, a well-known professional in the area, parked his agricultural vehicle in reverse without noticing the child’s presence.
