Attica is at the mercy of storm “Erminio”, which struck many areas with fierce intensity, causing serious damage and destruction, leaving behind one human casualty – a man in the area of Nea Makri. Severe weather phenomena hit the Attica Basin, with multiple problems recorded on roads near Marathonos at the entrance to Kallitechnoupolis.
Authorities specifically proceeded to close the road until its restoration. Specifically, the stream that passed through the area cut the road in half, causing serious damage and making passage impossible.

At the same time, in Nea Makri, Roumelis Street was flooded with tons of stone and debris, with municipal crews working tirelessly to remove the materials.
Meanwhile, fire department vehicles were conducting continuous pumping operations from flooded homes, trying to limit the damage. It should be noted that in Nea Makri, a man lost his life after being swept away by torrential waters. This was a man of Polish origin, around 50 years old, who left his house because it had flooded and was swept away by the rushing waters.
